AP Will Become A Global Digital Tech Hub: Lokesh
Visakhapatnam: Exuding confidence that Andhra Pradesh will emerge as a prominent hub for emerging deeptech as the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu laying emphasis on digital transformation, said Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics and Education, while announcing the decision to set up an artificial intelligence (AI) university in Visakhapatnam.
He was addressing the inaugural two-day AP Digital Technology Summit-2025, here on Wednesday, being organised by the AP Digital Technology Industry (AP DGT) and the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) and explained how they are implementing reforms in the higher education by involving the industry and the academia by changing the syllabus to create future-ready youth.
DeepTech Naipunnya Foundation (DTNF) Chairman Sridhar Kosaraju, Karnataka Digital Econ-omy Mission (KDEM) Chairman BV Naidu, STPI Director C Kavitha and ITAAP (IT Associa-tion of AP) President Lakshmi Mukkavilli and others were present.
With a robust infrastructure and future for growth, Visakhapatnam will leverage and play a key role in achieving a $2-trillion economy for the State as part of Vision 2047, which was released sometime ago, Lokesh said.
He further added that they have already set up a fund with the allocation of Rs500 crore to the spread of innovation culture by providing the funding to the startups and creating entrepreneurs from across the State. He said they are keen on making deeptech and AI a way of life so that AP will become the leading State in adoption of the emerging technologies.
