Amaravati: Maintaining that the main objective of the State Government is to promoting the academic sector to number one position in the country, AP Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh here on Tuesday said that radical changes will be introduced in the curriculum from KG to PG with creativity to achieve this goal.
The skills are being developed in such a way that a student soon after coming out of the college completing graduation should get employment, Nara Lokesh said after an MoU signed by the representatives of the State Government with the Sulochanadevi Singhania School Trust.
The MoU is entered into as part of the goal to meet the objectives of the national education policy.
As a first step to achieve the objective, the trust initially will bring in changes in the style of functioning of 14 schools in Tirupati district after assessing the skills of the teachers, the quality of their spoken English and linking the technology with the existing academic system. Over one lakh students are expected to get benefits of better educational standards through this scheme to be implemented in a span of five years. The trust will later extend its services to Amaravati, Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.
Chairman of the Singhania Group Gouatham Hari Singhania said that the main objective of the trust is to prepare the students as skillful by imparting them with the most advanced technology. Also, as part of this exercise the efficiency of the teachers too to be improved to give quality education to their students, he said. These training centers for teachers will be set up in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Amaravati, he added.
"We will not only update the skills of the teachers in advanced technology but also impart training to them in digital tools. As priority is being accorded to improve the proficiency in English students will ultimately come out of their institutions with all the necessary skills to meet the requirements for their careers," Singhania felt.
Director of the Singhania Group of Schools Revathi Srinivasan said that education is the foundation for progress and the main target is to introduce the best global standards to the local schools.
Independent Director of Raymonds K. Narasimha Murthy, Chief Financial Officer Naveen Sarma and several heads of the Singhania Group were present.
