AP Seeks US Consulate, Visa Application Centre
AP Home Minister with senior diplomats from the United States Consulate based in Hyderabad after a meeting at Amaravati
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh government formally requested the United States to open a Consulate and Visa Application Centre in the State as several Telugu-speaking people from AP frequently visit to meet their relatives, on business or professional work. In a significant diplomatic engagement, AP Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha held a meeting with Frank Talluto, Political and Economic Chief, and Kale Nandula, Regional Security Officer from the US Consulate in Hyderabad when they called on her in her office. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between Andhra Pradesh and the United States, with a key request for the establishment of a US Consulate and Visa Application Center in the state.
