AP Registers Impressive Growth In GST Revenue

Vijayawada: The latest Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection figures for February 2025 highlights a strong and steady increase in tax revenues, underscoring the positive momentum in economic activity and compliance in Andhra Pradesh. The gross GST collections for February was 4.76 per cent, emphasising the State’s strong fiscal position and sustainable revenue. This growth in net collections is especially significant because net revenue represents the actual revenue accrued to the State after accounting for IGST settlements and other components.
Over the past four months, the State has successfully reversed the downward trend observed in November and December 2024, achieving growth in January and February 2025. February’s net collections of Rs.2,936 crore-mark--the highest collection in the last 10 months, signifying the resilience of the tax structure and strategic revenue management efforts.while gross collections reflect the total tax paid, a sectoral analysis of revenue contributions further highlights the positive trends in service-based revenues, according to a statement issued by Babu A, Chief Commissioner of State Tax.
