It’s important to note that holding a rice card is necessary to participate in the Super Six welfare initiatives. In previous administrations, the issuance of new ration cards was stalled, and modifications were not allowed. To remedy this, the current government will introduce cards for newly married individuals and provide opportunities for necessary modifications. With these new options, officials estimate a significant increase in the number of rice cards issued.
