Visakhapatnam: Road safety is rooted in the psychology of behaviour-based safety and therefore employees and workers should make better decisions to lower their risks, Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) CEO Jagdish Patel said on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion of 36th National Road Safety Month programme, the Patel said that the safety behaviour should never ever end at the exit gate of the workplace, but it should continue till the employees and workers reach their homes.
"Hence safety should become an integral part of life and behaviour based safety should become the foundation for safety management systems, " he said.
The CEO released the Safety Pocket Book, published by the AKPL security and safety team to create awareness on road safety on various fronts.
Later Patel distributed prizes to those students of Adani Vidya Mandir, Adani World School who performed well in the drawing competition and also to those employees and business associates who fared well in the online quiz competition. COO Rajan Babu also spoke.
