Actress Kadambari Seeks Security Cover Following Suspension Of 3 IPS Officers

Vijayawada: For the first time perhaps in any State, the Andhra Pradesh Government has suspended three IPS officers including one DGP rank officer for their alleged involvement in a single case on the charge of abuse of power and highhanded behaviour in arresting a Bollywood actress before registration of a fraud case against her.

After the sensational arrest, the actress sought police protection fearing a threat to life. According to her, a YSRCP leader was instrumental in foisting of a case against her to put pressure on her to withdraw a sexual harassment case lodged by her in Mumbai against an industrialist, who was said to be having close connections with the previous government in the State.
