Andhra woman selected for ICG study on malaria

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh’s Central Malaria Lab Technician MV Lakshmi Subhadra has been selected for the coveted International Core Group (ICG) for malaria sample collection and microscopy in various countries across the globe.
The ICG studies prevention and control of vector borne diseases like malaria. Lakshmi Subhadra has cracked the level-1 entry in the International External Competence Assessment of Malaria Microscopists’s (ECAMM) week-long examination that concluded on Friday at the National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC) headquartered in New Delhi.
