In a significant collaboration, the Adani Group and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) have joined forces to offer free meals to devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. This noble initiative, known as the Mahaprasad Seva, will run throughout the 45-day spiritual gathering, from January 13 to February 26.

The Mahaprasad Seva aims to serve over 50 lakh devotees, with meals prepared at two designated kitchens located within and outside the mela grounds. The food distribution will take place at 40 key locations across the Maha Kumbh area, supported by 2,500 dedicated volunteers. Special provisions, including golf carts, have been made to assist differently-abled individuals, the elderly, and mothers with young children. Additionally, five lakh copies of Geeta Saar will be distributed to spread spiritual wisdom among attendees.

Acknowledging ISKCON’s Role

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani expressed his gratitude to ISKCON for their support in this endeavor. He recently met Guru Prasad Swami, Chairman of ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission, to thank him personally.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Adani stated, “Kumbh is a sacred place where seva becomes an offering to God. It is my privilege to initiate the ‘Mahaprasad Seva’ for devotees in partnership with ISKCON. With the blessings of Maa Annapurna, we aim to serve lakhs of devotees. Seva, in its truest form, is meditation, prayer, and an act of patriotism.”

A Testament to Corporate Responsibility

Guru Prasad Swami praised the Adani Group’s commitment to social welfare, highlighting Gautam Adani’s humility and proactive approach to service. “The Adani Group has consistently exemplified corporate responsibility. Gautam Adani ji’s selflessness inspires us all to unite in service to humanity,” he said.

This monumental initiative not only underscores the power of collaboration but also reinforces the spirit of seva at one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.
