7,500 buses to operate from all UP districts to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh: CM Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to arrange buses from every district in the state to Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh 2025, ensuring smooth travel for devotees attending the sacred event at the Sangam. According to an official release, the Mahakumbh will take place from January 13 to February 26.
In a recent meeting with Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation officials, Adityanath reviewed the transport arrangements and emphasized seamless connectivity for the millions of devotees expected to attend. He instructed that buses should run regularly from all districts throughout the Mahakumbh, not just during major bathing days.
The chief minister stressed the importance of publicizing bus schedules extensively to minimize inconvenience for travelers. He also called for strict measures to prevent overloading in private buses and ensure fares remain within regulated limits. Drivers and conductors have been warned against consuming any intoxicating substances during this period to maintain safety and discipline.
The UP Roadways has planned the deployment of 7,000 buses for the event, with an additional 550 shuttle buses dedicated to the fairgrounds. This extensive operation aims to provide hassle-free transport for devotees, enabling them to participate in this grand spiritual gathering.
