Mutual Fund Inflows Slump 75% at ₹60,300 crore in Nov; Debt Funds Down 92%

Inflows of mutual funds decreased by 75% on a monthly basis to ₹60,363 crore in November as compared to ₹2.39 lakh crore in October.
While inflows into equity mutual funds decreased by 14%, debt fund inflows slumped by 92% in November. Equity mutual funds declined by 14%, totaling ₹35,943 crore as compared to ₹41,886 crore in October.
Sectoral and thematic funds received ₹7,657 crore in November, down from ₹3,771 crore in October. Among the major categories, inflows in ELSS funds increased by 61% followed by small-cap funds at 9%.
Inflows in debt mutual funds decreased by 92% to ₹12,915 crore in November as compared to ₹1.57 lakh crore in October. Most categories among debt mutual funds reported inflows during the month of November. While low-duration funds clocked inflows to the tune of ₹4,373 crore, ultra-short-duration funds amassed ₹2,961 crore.
Inflows in Index funds ETFs declined by 70% as the category received ₹7,061 crore in November, compared to ₹23,428 crore in the previous month.
Surprisingly, dividend yield funds reported the highest decline in inflows by a staggering 60% on a monthly basis.
As on November 30, 2024, total assets under management (AUM) increased by 1% to ₹67.81 lakh crore, down from ₹66.98 lakh crore in October.
