Sensex, Nifty Rise on Friday; MidCap & SmallCap Indices Also Up
In the broader market, the BSE MidCap index rose by 0.65 percent.
On Friday, the SmallCap index also rose by 0.9 percent.
On Friday, benchmark indices Nifty and Sensex continued their upward trajectory.
The BSE Sensex rose by 323.44 points, or 0.41%, reaching 79,429.32, while the Nifty50 increased by 103.65 points, or 0.43%, to settle at 24,247.40.
In the broader market, the BSE MidCap index rose by 0.65 percent. Similarly, the SmallCap index also rose by 0.9 percent.
Birlasoft, MphasiS, L&T Technology, Glenmark, and PVR INOX were the top gainers on Nifty, while Max Financial, Aurobindo Pharma, Manappuram Finance, HDFC Life and Ipca Labs were the top losers.
