Telangana CM Revanth Reddy criticized Nirmala Sitharaman's presentation of the Union Budget yesterday. He accused the Centre of showing discrimination against Telangana in the budget, describing it as an act of vengeance.

Addressing the media in Hyderabad, he suggested the Finance Minister correct the budget and allocate sufficient funds for the development of the state.

Revanth Reddy also announced that there will be a discussion and a resolution passed in the Assembly on Wednesday.

The CM stated that all eight MPs from the state will protest in Parliament, requesting other party MPs from the state, including Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and BJP MPs, to join them.

He also criticised Nirmala Sitharaman for allocating funds to Andhra Pradesh under the AP Reorganisation Act and not mentioning Telangana in her budget speech.

The Congress CM of Telangana added that he is not against the allocations made to Andhra Pradesh as per the AP Reorganisation Act, but questioned why funds were not allocated to Telangana under the Act, as it applies to both states.

Expressing displeasure over not allocating funds for the Musi riverfront project and the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, Revanth Reddy said if the Centre continues this discrimination against the state, people will be obliged to start another agitation similar to the Telangana agitation.

Terming the 'Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas' campaign as bogus, he slammed Modi for his government's failure to allocate funds to the state despite meetings with him and his ministers in Delhi.

The Chief Minister further stated that he will continue developing the state irrespective of support from the Modi government.

He also took a dig at Secunderabad MP and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, demanding they quit their cabinet posts due to the Centre’s failure to allocate funds for the state.
