Futures rebound on renewed spot demand

Gold futures jumped Rs80 to Rs64,542 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand. Silver futures rose Rs371 to Rs73,838 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for April delivery traded higher Rs80, or 0.12 per cent, at Rs64,542 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 16,232 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said. Globally, gold futures increased 0.07 per cent to $2,127.70 per ounce in New York.
