Futures Rebound On Firm Spot Demand
Gold futures increased Rs73 to Rs76,760 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators created positions on a firm spot demand. Silver futures rose Rs470 to Rs91,280 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.
On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs73 or 0.1 per cent at Rs76,760 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 12,400 lots. Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in gold prices, analysts said. Globally, gold futures rose 0.07 per cent to $2,640.89 per ounce in New York. On MCX, silver contracts for March delivery increased by Rs470 or 0.52 per cent to Rs91,280 per kg in a business turnover of 25,746 lots.
