Futures Hovering In Divergent Trading

Gold futures declined Rs41 to Rs78,381 per 10 grams in futures trade amid weak global cues. Silver futures increased by Rs43 to Rs94,327 per kilogram as participants ramped up their bets.

On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for December delivery traded lower by Rs41 or 0.05 per cent at Rs78,381 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 12,906 lots. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues. Globally, gold futures decreased marginally by 0.01 per cent to $2,746.60 per ounce in New York.
