Brent Crude Trading Higher At $72.87/Bbl

Crude oil prices on Thursday climbed Rs31 to Rs5,812 per barrel in futures trade, as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery traded higher by Rs31 or 0.54 per cent at Rs5,812 per barrel in 10,574 lots.

Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading flat at $68.72 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading 0.05 per cent higher at $72.87 per barrel in New York.
