Brent Crude Trading Higher At $72.35/Bbl

Crude oil futures increased Rs61 to Rs5,755 per barrel as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up 0.47 per cent to $68.50 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.51 per cent higher at $72.35 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for October delivery traded higher Rs61 or 1.07 per cent at Rs5,755 per barrel in 18,014 lots. Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
