Brent crude trading at $88.14/bbl

Crude oil prices on Thursday climbed Rs13 to Rs6,902 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher Rs13 or 0.19 per cent at Rs6,902 per barrel in 5,263 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.13 per cent to $82.92 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.14 per cent higher at $88.14 per barrel in New York.
