Brent crude trading at $83.98/bbl

Crude oil prices climbed Rs16 to Rs6,617 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up 0.34 per cent to $79.22 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.37 per cent higher at $83.98 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for May delivery traded higher Rs16 or 0.6 per cent at Rs6,617 per barrel in 12,139 lots.
