Brent Crude Trading At $74.75/Bbl

Crude oil prices on Monday rose by Rs3 to Rs6,168 per barrel in futures trade as participants in-creased their positions following a firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery traded higher by Rs3 or 0.05 per cent at Rs6,168 per barrel in 2,408 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.08 per cent lower at $70.68 per barrel while Brent crude was trading marginally higher at $74.75 per barrel in New York.
