New Delhi: Renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon has bagged a 204 MW wind energy project from Serentica Renewables. "Suzlon Group has bagged a significantly large order for its 3 MW series of wind turbines from Serentica Renewables - a decarbonization platform that seeks to accelerate the energy transition for energy-intensive industries," a company statement said. The company, however, didn't disclose the value of the project. Suzlon will install 68 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 3 MW each for Serentica's 204 MW wind power project coming up at Koppal in Karnataka. "This order from industrial decarbonisation player, Serentica Renewables is a testament of India Inc's commitment to our nation's net-zero ambitions," Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said in the statement.

CNG version ofAltroz launched

New Delhi: Tata Motors on Monday launched the CNG version of its premium hatchback Altroz at an introductory price of Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom all-India). The Altroz iCNG comes in six variants priced between Rs 7.55 lakh and Rs 10.55 lakh (all prices ex-showroom all-India), Tata Motors said in a statement. It is equipped with a twin-cylinder CNG technology and comes with advanced features such as voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger and air purifier, among others. The twin CNG cylinders are located below the luggage area with valves and pipes protected under the load floor thereby minimising the risk of potential damage, the company added. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said customers are increasingly choosing alternate fuel options with the intent of economical as well as eco-friendly drive and CNG as a fuel with its wide availability and accessibility has gained a lot of acceptance.

IoTechWorld to set up 7 drone pilot training centre

New Delhi: Drone manufacturer IoTechWorld Avigation on Monday said seven remote pilot training organisations will begin operation in five states by July-end and each will have an annual capacity to train 360 budding drone pilots. The seven remote pilot training organisations (RPTOs) are coming up at Gurugram and Gharaunda (Haryana), Jobner (Rajasthan); Chikballapur (Karnataka); Samastipur (Bihar); and Rajahmundry and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), the company said in a statement. Currently, the startup company has collaboration with several universities and other institutions for RPTOs. According to IoTechWorld Co-founder and Director Deepak Bhardwaj, two RPTOs located at Gharaunda and Jobner will be functional this month.

Payments with Rs 2k notes atpetrol pumps rises

Indore: Days after the RBI's announcement of withdrawal of Rs 2,000 currency notes, there has been a five-fold rise in payments with this denomination for fuel purchase by customers at petrol pumps in Indore, an office-bearer of a petrol pumps association claimed on Monday. Some of the customers have been paying in Rs 2,000 notes while buying fuel worth only Rs 100 for their two-wheelers, he said. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday made a surprise announcement of withdrawal of Rs 2,000 currency notes, but gave the public time till September 30 to either deposit the Rs 2,000 notes in accounts or exchange them at banks.
