Yes Bank shares surged by 5% on April 21, Monday, as the banking major reported a 63% increase in net profit during Q4FY25.
The Mumbai-based company reported a net profit of ₹738 crore in Q4FY25, against ₹452 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
As of 9:45 am, Yes Bank shares on BSE were trading at ₹18.9 apiece, up 4.4%. The market capitalisation of the stock stood at ₹59,200 crore.
Provisions and contingencies, or funds kept aside for potential bad loans, fell 32.5% on-year to ₹318 crore. Gross non-performing asset ratio came at 1.60% at the end of March, which remained unchanged since the end of the previous three months. Net interest income soared by 5.7% at ₹2,276 crore. Net interest margin surged to 2.50% from 2.40% a year earlier and in the three previous three months.
