A day after the Indian budget was presented in Parliament on Tuesday by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Indian stock indices opened marginally lower in early trade on Wednesday, with the Sensex down 187.22 points, trading at 80,241.82 and the Nifty down 38.85 points, trading at 24,44020.

On the other hand, the Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 index opened in green in the broader markets.

Most of the sectoral indices are trading in green, excluding NIFTY Auto, FMCG and Bank, among others.

ICICI Prudential, MCX India, United Spirits, and Max Financials were among the stocks that rallied on Wednesday.
