On Tuesday, Indian stock indices opened on a positive note in early trade, with the Sensex climbing over 77 points and the Nifty rallying 27 points.

The broad market indices saw a positive opening. Among sectoral indices, realty, metal, and energy stocks saw the highest gains, with realty stocks rising the most. Other sectors, such as Healthcare, Pharma, and IT, saw a dip.

The IT index slipped by 0.4 percent, with Wipro, HCL Tech, and Tech Mahindra lagging behind.

The BSE Sensex opened 0.10% higher at 80,742, while the NSE Nifty opened 0.12% higher at 24,614. Around 11:18 am, Nifty was up 0.28 percent and was trading at 24,655.50.

India Cements, Coal India, Vodafone Idea, HINDPETRO, and BPCL were the top gainers on the Nifty. L&T Finance, Ipca Labs, Shriram Finance, M&M Financial, and Kotak Mahindra were the losers.

On Tuesday, Paytm share price declined 1.80 percent to 461.20 on NSE after the Securities Exchange Board of India issued an administrative warning letter to the financial technology company.
