Stock Market: Indices trading in losses.. Nifty below 24,300

Stock Market Opening Bell: Domestic stock market indices (Stock market) started flat on Tuesday. The indices, which started flat amid mixed signals from international markets, soon slipped into losses. Sensex lost 300 points while Nifty was trading below 24,300. The Sensex was trading at 79,969, down 310 points at 9:30 am. The Nifty is down 93 points at 24,259. The rupee continues to trade at 84.08 against the dollar.

Shares of M&M, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, Maruti Suzuki, HUL, Tech Mahindra and Tata Motors traded in losses in the Sensex 30 index. NTPC, ICICI Bank, SBI, Tata Steel, L&T, Nestle India.. these six shares are continuing to gain. The price of a barrel of Brent crude is trading at 71.56 dollars in the international market. Gold is trading at $2,764.80 an ounce.

US markets ended with gains on Monday. Asia-Pacific markets are trading in modest gains today. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 3,228 crore on Monday, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1,401 crore.
