Stock Market, Forex to Remain Shut Today on Account of Muharram
According to BSE, the trading hours for stock, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives segments have been suspended.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed today, Wednesday, July 17, due to Muharram. As per the BSE calendar, Muharram is the tenth market holiday of 2024.
Trading hours for stock, equity derivatives, SLB, currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives segments have been suspended, as per BSE.
Despite the market closure, the April–June quarter results for the fiscal year 2024–2025 (Q1FY25) will continue as planned.
Is the Forex Market Open Today?
The forex will also remain shut today on the occasion of Muharram, and the trading session will resume again on Thursday at 9 am.

Similarly, the National Commodity Exchange (NCDEX) and the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will be open for trading in the evening today but will remain closed during the morning shift from 9:00 IST to 17:00 IST. Trading on the Indian commodity market will resume at 17:00 IST on Wednesday.
