Sensex up 500 Pts, Nifty Crosses 24,400; HDFC Bank, Ola Electric, Indegene in Green
The Indian benchmark indices cheered up in today’s trading as Sensex rose by 500 points, while Nifty surged above 24,400. BSE Midcap index is up by 0.5% and Smallcap index jumped 1%. While FMCG stocks took a beating, realty and other sectoral indices are trading in green.

The Indian benchmark indices cheered up in today’s trading as Sensex rose by 480 points, while Nifty surged above 24,400. BSE Midcap index is up by 0.5% and Smallcap index jumped 1%. While FMCG stocks took a beating, realty and other sectoral indices are trading in green.
Shares of HDFC Bank, Ola Electric, Indegene, Reliance Industries, Adani Ports are grabbing the eyeballs of the investors. Among the laggards, ITC is down by 1.51% at ₹470. BSE IT surged by 0.6%, in which Axiscades Technologies, Tata Elxsi, KPIT Tech were the front runners. Nifty Auto index is up 0.4%.
Market watchers are keeping a close eye on the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting on December 6, which will in turn set tone for the country's economic landscape. Notably, India GDP fell to 5.4% in Q2 on the back of soaring inflation and poor consumption patterns.
