Sensex Down 650 Pts, Nifty Trades at 23,350; All Details Here

Sensex fell by 650 points while Nifty is trading below 23,350 in today’s trading session. All sectoral indices are trading in red wherein metal, media and realty are down by 2% each. BSE midcap index and Smallcap index are down by 1.7% and 2% respectively. While shares of Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Power Grid Corp, Hindalco, BPCL are the top losers, Britannia, Bharti Airtel, HUL, Tata Consumer Products are trading in green.

Several companies including Eicher Motors, Bata India, Grasim Industries, Force Motors, FSN E-Commerce Ventures, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise among many are expected to announce their Q3 (Sep-Dec) earnings.

Glenmark received a go-ahead from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to market Winlevi in the United Kingdom, Cosmo Pharmaceuticals N.V. and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals announced. Winlevi is a tropical cream that is used to treat acne in people aged 12 years and older.

Meanwhile, shares of Oil India were down by 4% following weak Q3 results. During the December quarter, the crude oil major reported a net profit of ₹1,457 crore, down 44% from ₹2,607 crore reported in the corresponding period a year earlier.
