MRF Shares Down 4%; Q3 Profit Declines 38%
Shares of MRF Ltd fell by 4% today after the tyre manufacturer reported its December quarter earnings. Net profit fell by 38% to ₹315 crore in Q3FY25, compared to ₹510 crore in the year-ago period.
Revenue from operations soared by 14% to ₹7,001 crore in Q3FY25, against ₹6,162 crore in Q3FY24. Market capitalisation stood at ₹47,374 crore.
As of 12:45 pm, MRF shares were down by 4% at ₹1,10,374 apiece.
For the financial year ending on March 31, 2025, the company has declared a second interim dividend of ₹3 per equity share. While the cut-off date has been fixed on February 14, it will be distributed among investors on February 25.
EBITDA slipped by 21% at ₹835 crore in Q3FY25, compared to ₹1,055 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA margin came down at 11.93% in the December quarter, compared to 17.12% in the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
