Engineering and tech major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) reported a staggering growth of 14% YoY in its net profit at ₹3,359 crore for the December quarter. However, it was lower than the street's estimate of ₹3,771 crore.
During Q3FY25, L&T clocked revenues to the tune of ₹64,668 crore, up 17%YoY, which was buoyed by strong order book and positive momentum across its Projects & Manufacturing (P&M) businesses.
Revenues came in line with the estimates at ₹64,742 crore. Revenue earned via overseas business came at ₹32,764 crore, which in turn constituted 51% of the total revenues.
Interestingly, the company received its highest-ever quarterly orders of ₹116,036 crore for the December quarter, up 53% YoY.
“This quarter has ended on a strong note for us. We have achieved the highest ever quarterly order inflow in the company’s history. Consequently, our order book is at a record high," Chairman and Managing Director S.N. Subrahmanyan said.
Shares of Larsen and Toubro Ltd today ended at ₹3,432.50, down 0.50%.
