IPOs in 2025: Public Issue Worth ₹1.5 Lk Crore Expected Next Year
Though the Indian stock market witnessed unforeseen turbulence in the recent past, it hasn’t deterred companies from entering the public markets. 2025 is set to be the year of IPOs as it is expected to surpass 1.5 lakh crore.

Though the Indian stock market witnessed unforeseen turbulence in the recent past, it hasn’t deterred companies from entering the public markets. 2025 is set to be the year of IPOs as it is expected to surpass 1.5 lakh crore.
IPO Lineup
Close to 34 companies received a go-ahead from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for IPOs totalling ₹41,462 crore, while 55 companies are waiting for regulatory approvals to raise ₹98,672 crore. Big fishes including Zepto, Flipkart, HDFC Credila, and Indira IVF are set to file their draft red herring prospectuses (DRHPs). Notably, Flipkart, Zepto, and HDFC Credila plans to raise $1 billion.
Investor Sentiments
Market experts believe that IPO targets for 2025 are achievable despite external factors. Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹1.02 lakh crore in secondary market and ₹1.11 lakh crore in primary markets.
Market Outlook
In 2024 Indian benchmark indices surged by 13% followed by 20% in 2023. While the BSE MidCap index surged 30%, BSE SmallCap index was by 45% in 2024. Challenges including weak quarterly earnings, FII outflows can dampen the market sentiments.
