Hi-Tech Pipes records 877% growth; hits ₹161.50 from ₹16.52 in 2020

Hi-Tech Pipes, a prominent player in the steel pipes and tubes industry, has reported impressive growth, marking an 877% rise in stock value over the past five years. The small-cap stock, which opened at ₹159 today, surged to ₹161.50, following a robust Q3FY25 performance.

In its latest exchange filing, Hi-Tech Pipes revealed a 26.1% year-on-year increase in sales volume for Q3FY25, reaching an all-time high of 1,24,233 metric tons (MT). For the first nine months of FY25, the company achieved a 30.33% YoY growth, with a total of 3,69,415 MT in sales.

The standout contributor to this growth was the company’s solar torque tubes, which have gained significant traction due to the rapid expansion of the solar energy sector in India. This surge in demand, coupled with increased sales in infrastructure and construction sectors, has bolstered the company's market standing.

Company Outlook and Expansion Plans

Ajay Kumar Bansal, Chairman of Hi-Tech Pipes, expressed satisfaction with the company's performance, emphasizing their continued commitment to innovation and quality. "This performance showcases our dedication to meeting market demands while expanding our product offerings and production capacity. We aim to maintain our leadership position in the steel tubes and pipes sector," Bansal said.

The company’s market capitalization now stands at ₹3,257 crore, with a 34% rise in the last year. Over the last five years, Hi-Tech Pipes' stock has skyrocketed from ₹16.52 in January 2020 to ₹161.50 today, delivering multibagger returns to investors.

Expanding Production and Market Presence

Hi-Tech Pipes, with a legacy of over 40 years, manufactures a wide range of products, including steel pipes, hollow sections, solar torque tubes, road crash barriers, and color-coated coils. The company operates six advanced manufacturing facilities across India, with a current annual production capacity of 7,50,000 MT. Hi-Tech Pipes is on track to reach a production capacity of 1 million tons by FY25.
