Benchmark Indices Trade Flat; IT, Metal, Realty Among Top Losers

Indian benchmark indices are trading flat on March 13. As of 2:43 pm, Sensex is down by 0.25% at 73,843.70, while Nifty is trading at 22,404.95, down by 0.29%.

Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Siemens India to jointly explore opportunities in the semi-high-speed and suburban passenger train segments.

Meanwhile, Infosys is set to collaborate with NYSE-listed Citizens to expand its long-standing strategic collaboration. Ola Electric announced a Holi flash sale offer for its S1 range of electric scooters. It will provide discounts of up to ₹26,750 on the S1 Air and ₹22,000 on the S1 X+ (Gen 2).

Sectorwise, auto, IT, metal were down by 0.5% each, PSU Bank, FMCG, telecom surged by 0.5% each. Shares of Bharat Electronics, L&T, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ONGC are the major gainers on the Nifty, while Shriram Finance, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors, Wipro, BPCL emerged as the top losers.
