Shares of Bajaj Auto came under intense pressure after the stock fell by nearly 3% to hit their 52-week low of ₹7,683 apiece on March 3. The slump can be attributed to the poor sales in February. Domestic two-wheeler sales in February fell by 14%. Shares of Bajaj Finserv, which offers financing schemes on Bajaj Auto vehicles fell by 2% at ₹1,831 apiece.

As per an exchange filing, Two-wheeler sales in India stood at 1.46 lakh units, down 14% against 1.71 lakh units in the corresponding month a year ago. Exports of two-wheeler vehicles surged by 23% YoY to 1.53 lakh units this month.

Sales of commercial vehicles soared by 3% in the country, while exports fell 2%.

In a nutshell, domestic sales were down by 11% at 1.83 lakh units, Meanwhile, exports surged by 21% to 1.69 lakh units.

Shares of Hero Motocorp also took a heavy blow on March 3 as it dropped by 2% to clock at ₹3,630 apiece. The automaker sold 3.88 lakh units (including domestic and foreign sales) in February, 2025 against a year-ago period of 4.68 lakh units, a decline of 17%.

Meanwhile, Ola Electric sold 25,000 units in February. In its press release, the company claimed to have captured a market share of 28% in the EV 2-wheeler segment.
