AMFI Data: Equity Mutual Fund Inflows in December up by 15% at ₹41,156 Crore

The inflows in the equity mutual funds surged by 14.5% to reach Rs 41,155.91 crore in December, a data released by Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI) said.
On the other hand, net outflow stood at ₹80,509 crore, as investors withdrew ₹1.27 lakh crore from debt funds. Total Assets Under Management (AUM) in December 2024 slumped by 1.7% to ₹66.9 lakh crore against ₹68.1 lakh crore in November.
SIP inflow in December reached an all-time high of ₹26,459 crore as compared to ₹25,320 crore in November 2024.
While Sectoral and thematic funds clocked inflows doubling to ₹15,331.5 crore from ₹7,658 crore in November, large-cap funds decreased to ₹2,011 crore. Mid-cap funds saw inflows worth ₹5,093 crore.
Manish Mehta, National Head - Sales, Marketing & Digital Business, Kotak Mahindra AMC said, “Industry number came about 6000 crores higher than previous month. Culmination of NFOs, SIPs and lump sum purchase led to an increase net sales numbers. Investor confidence in mutual funds as an efficient tool for investments continues to remain strong. Increasing (Widening) product suite is facilitating investors to take an investment call basis their risk profile.”
