The share price of National Aluminium Co. Ltd (NALCO) soared by 4% in the early morning trade on Tuesday at ₹198.30 after the company reported its Q3 earnings (Sep-Dec) yesterday after market hours.
The share price opened at ₹196.05 on the BSE with gains of more than 2%, compared to previous day’s close of ₹190.95.
Nalco Q3 Results
The mining major reported a net profit of ₹1,583 crore in the December quarter, a 3-fold increase from ₹488 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The increased profitability can be attributed to upbeat sales realisation, favourable market demand and effective cost management, noted the company.
Total income surged to ₹4,761 crore in Q3 of FY25, compared to ₹3,398 crore in Q3 of FY24.
