JSW Energy up 5%; BSE Power Index Surges 0.9%

Shares of JSW Energy soared by 5% and are currently trading at ₹489.9. During the past 1 year, JSW Energy shares came down from ₹499.2 to ₹489.9, down 1.9%.

BSE Power index is up by 0.9% at 6,162.2. Among the top gainers in the BSE Power Index, NHPC and Adani Energy Solutions increased by 2.5% each.

JSW Energy reported a net profit of ₹168 crore in Q3, compared to ₹231 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Revenue declined to ₹2640 crore in the December quarter against ₹2661 crore in the year-ago period. EBITDA slumped by 9% to ₹1115 crore from ₹1229 crore a year earlier.
