Investors and traders wondering whether the stock market will be open on March 14, 2025, for Holi can now have clarity. According to the official list of stock market holidays, both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Holi 2025 Market Holiday – No Trading on BSE & NSE
Due to some confusion over whether Holi falls on March 14 (Friday) or March 15 (Saturday), many were unsure about the market holiday. However, the exchanges have confirmed that trading in Equity, Equity Derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments will be suspended on March 14.
Additionally, the Currency Derivatives Segment will also remain closed. However, commodity traders should note that while the morning session will be closed, trading will resume at 5:00 PM and continue until 11:30 PM.
