Saudi Arabia approves Venus Remedies’ Docetaxel
Chandigarh: Pharma major Venus Remedies Ltd on Thursday said it has secured marketing authorisation from Saudi Arabia for Docetaxel - a widely used chemotherapy drug. The development comes three months after the company received good manufacturing practices (GMP) certification from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for all its production facilities at its unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The demand for Docetaxel has been steadily increasing the world over with the rising incidence of breast, prostate, stomach and non-small cell lung cancers, for which, this chemotherapy drug is used as a first line of treatment, said the company in a statement.
SFT return filing deadline extended
New Delhi: Banks, foreign exchange dealers and other reporting entities have 'couple of days more' to report high-value transactions done by their clients in 2022-23 by filing SFT returns, the I-T department has said. The last date for filing statement of financial transactions (SFT) for 2022-23 fiscal was May 31. In a tweet, the I-T department said due to heavy traffic on the reporting portal, some SFT filers may have encountered difficulties in filing SFT returns. "… the functionality for filing of SFT returns will remain open for a couple of days more to enable smooth filing of SFT returns," the tax department tweeted late Wednesday night. Under SFT, specified institutions are required to furnish the details of certain financial transactions or any reportable account registered/recorded/maintained by them during the year.
Samsung enters OLED TV segment in India
New Delhi: Consumer electronic makers Samsung has forayed into the OLED TV (Organic light-emitting diode) segment in the Indian market, enhancing its presence in the premium TV segment. Samsung India, one of the leading players in the TV segment, is getting its entire OLED TV lineup manufactured locally in India, the company said in a statement. Samsung India on Thursday announced the launch of its OLED TV range S95C and S90C, with AI-enabled Neural Quantum 4K Processor, delivering deep blacks, clean whites and lively colours. Samsung India Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics Business, Mohandeep Singh said: "The launch of new OLED TVs will enable us to further strengthen our leadership in the premium TV market". "We are pushing the boundaries of innovation with our new range of OLED TVs,” he said.
IKIO sets IPO price band at Rs 270-285/share
New Delhi: LED lighting solution provider IKIO Lighting Ltd on Thursday said it has fixed a price band of Rs 270-285 per share for its Rs 606-crore initial public offering (IPO). The issue will be open for public subscription during June 6-8 and the bidding for anchor investors will open on June 5, the Noida-based company said in a statement. The IPO consists of a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to Rs 350 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 90 lakh equity stocks by promoters Hardeep Singh and Surmeet Kaur. At the upper end of the price band, the initial share-sale will fetch Rs 606.5 crore. Proceeds from the fresh issuance worth Rs 50 crore will be used for debt payment, Rs 212.31 crore will be used in the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, IKIO Solutions, to set up a new facility at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and for general corporate purposes.
