Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), led by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, announced on December 21, 2024, that its subsidiary, Reliance Digital Health Ltd. (RDHL), has secured a 45% equity stake in Health Alliance Group Inc. (HAGI) for $10 million.

The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be finalized in approximately two weeks, with no regulatory or governmental approvals required. Reliance confirmed that the transaction is not related to any of its promoters or group companies.

The acquisition is part of Reliance Digital's strategy to enhance healthcare access, particularly for underserved communities. With this investment, Reliance Digital aims to build a virtual diagnostic and care platform, leveraging HAGI's expertise in designing technology-driven solutions for markets like the US, India, and beyond.

HAGI, incorporated in Delaware in December 2023, operates at the intersection of healthcare, information technology, and innovation, addressing the needs of underserved populations globally.

The deal highlights Reliance’s continued focus on expanding its digital healthcare portfolio as part of its broader commitment to the health and wellness sector.
