Apollo reports 4% drop in net profit
Mumbai: Apollo Hospitals has reported a net profit of Rs379.4 crore in the third quarter this fiscal (Q3 FY25), a decline of 4.12 per cent from Rs395.7 crore profit in the second quarter (Q2 FY25). The company’s total income in Q3 stood at Rs5,590.7 crore, slightly lower than Rs5,627.5 crore reported in the second quarter (Q2).Its revenue from operations also saw a decline of 1.79 per cent at Rs5,527 crore in Q3, compared to Rs5,627.5 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA was down 6.6 per cent (on-quarter) to Rs. 762 crore, while EBITDA margin stood at 13.8 per cent (down 81bps QoQ) in Q3, led by contraction in gross margins by 135bps QoQ to 47.5 per cent.The healthcare major announced an interim dividend of Rs9 per share for the financial year ending March 31, 2025.This represents 180 per cent of the face value of Rs5 per share.Apollo Hospitals is also focusing on expansion and plans to add 3,512 beds across 11 locations over the next three to four years, starting from FY26.
Patanjali Foods’ expenses surge 11.2%
New Delhi: Swami Ramdev’s Patanjali Foods has reported a significant increase in its total expenses for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25, which rose by nearly 11.2 per cent to Rs8,653 crore in Q3, compared to Rs7,781.64 crore in Q2 FY25. This increase was mainly driven by the higher costs of materials consumed, according to its stock exchange filing. The fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) segment saw a decline of 18.4 per cent, with revenue dropping to Rs2,038 crore from Rs2,499 crore in the same quarter last year (Q3 FY24). The shares of Patanjali Foods dropped by 2 per cent to Rs1,817.80 on the BSE in intra-day trade on Tuesday. However, the company’s net profit jumped by 71 per cent in the quarter ended on December 31, 2024.
Devyani posts net loss of Rs 7.65 cr
New Delhi: Quick service restaurant operator Devyani International Ltd on Tuesday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs7.65 crore in the third quarter ended December 2024 impacted by higher expenses and tax outgo. The company, which is the largest franchisee for Yum Brands -- KFC and Pizza Hut -- in India, besides Costa Coffee, had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs5.07 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Devyani International Ltd (DIL) said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations in the third quarter stood at Rs1,294.4 crore as compared to Rs843.13 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the quarter were higher at Rs1,294.84 crore as compared to Rs838.06 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, the company said, adding tax expenses were also higher at Rs16.17 crore as against Rs4.61 crore in the third quarter last fiscal.
