MTR Foods unveils new products
MTR Foods, a Bengaluru-based food products company on Tuesday said is set to further strengthen its place in the Telugu food market with the launch of a range of ‘podis’ in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets.

Hyderabad: MTR Foods, a Bengaluru-based food products company on Tuesday said is set to further strengthen its place in the Telugu food market with the launch of a range of 'podis' in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets. The products are priced at Rs 10 per pack for a 20 gram product and Rs 45 each pack for 100 gram.
Podi, literal meaning being powder is a normal accompaniment for all meal occasions in households across two Telugu States. MTR Foods said, "Traditionally podi is prepared by homemakers by sourcing open ingredients from neighborhood kirana or general stores. However, the consistency in taste and quality was an ongoing challenge, as was the availability and freshness of ingredients. Addressing this concern, MTR Foods worked with the Telugu mothers to create and launch three of the most regularly consumed podis – Kandi, Idli Karam and Karivepaku Podi."
The food company assures that their range of podis will offer Telugu households the traditional and delicious taste of homemade podis, which is made using quality raw materials and ensures a longer shelf life.
