US Markets:
Stock futures were flat in overnight trading following three consecutive days of decline as the tech-powered rally faded.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 23 points (0.07%), while S&P 500 futures inched up 0.05% and Nasdaq 100 futures remained unchanged.
The S&P 500 slid 0.5% on Wednesday, marking its worst daily performance in June and down 1% for the week.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.2%, experiencing its worst daily performance since June 7.
European Markets:
European markets closed lower on Wednesday after UK inflation data exceeded expectations.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed 0.5% lower, with tech stocks leading losses.
Mining stocks fell 1.5%, and autos dropped 0.6% despite strong new car registration data.
FTSE closed 0.13% lower at 7559 points, and DAX closed 0.55% lower at 16,023 points.
Asian Markets:
Asia-Pacific markets mostly traded in the green after Jerome Powell's forecast of more rate hikes.
Japan's Nikkei 225 climbed 0.19%, extending gains from Wednesday.
South Korea's Kospi was up 0.2%, and the Kosdaq increased by 0.25%.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 saw a loss of 0.65%, extending losses from Wednesday.
Markets in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan remained closed for a holiday.
Oil Prices:
Oil prices rose as US corn and soybean prices reached multi-month highs, raising expectations of increased oil demand.
Brent futures settled at $77.12 a barrel, up 1.6%.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures settled at $72.53 a barrel, up 1.9%.
Dollar and Gold:
The Dollar index traded slightly lower at 102.07 in futures.
Gold prices rebounded slightly, supported by a retreat in the dollar but limited by higher bond yields.
FII and DII:
Foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares worth Rs 4,013.10 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) purchased shares worth Rs 550.36 crore on June 21.
