LIC, SBI top Mcap gainers among 4 most valued firms jumps Rs 2.18 lakh cr; Can they maintain the tempo?

Last week witnessed a significant surge in the market capitalization of the four most valued firms, with Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and State Bank of India (SBI) leading the gains. According to reports, these top firms collectively added Rs 2.18 lakh crore in market valuation, underscoring robust investor sentiment.
Among the top 10 firms, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), LIC, and SBI emerged as the major gainers, contributing substantially to the overall increase. In contrast, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC experienced erosion in their valuation.
The BSE benchmark recorded a decline of 490.14 points or 0.67 percent during the week. Notably, LIC's market valuation soared by Rs 86,146.47 crore, reaching Rs 6,83,637.38 crore. SBI also saw a remarkable increase, adding Rs 65,908.26 crore to its valuation, which stood at Rs 6,46,365.02 crore by the end of the week. Additionally, TCS witnessed a significant jump of Rs 61,435.47 crore in its market capitalization, reaching Rs 15,12,743.31 crore. Reliance's market valuation advanced by Rs 5,108.09 crore, reaching Rs 19,77,136.54 crore.
Conversely, HDFC Bank's market capitalization witnessed a decline of Rs 32,963.94 crore, reaching Rs 10,65,808.71 crore. Similarly, ITC's valuation eroded by Rs 30,698.62 crore, standing at Rs 5,18,632.02 crore by the end of the week.
In the top 10 most valued firms ranking, Reliance Industries maintained its lead, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, LIC, SBI, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC.
