Investing Rs 46 Crore to Expand Manufacturing Units and Product Range

Hyderabad With a vision to become a leading player in India's painting sector, Techno Paints has set an ambitious target of achieving a 25% market share in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh within the next eighteen months. Currently, the paints industry in these two Telugu states amounts to Rs 12,000 crore.

Techno Paints, a Hyderabad-based paint company, presently operates three manufacturing facilities in Telangana and one in Andhra Pradesh, with a total annual production capacity of 2.6 lakh tonne. To meet the increasing demand and capture a larger market share, the company plans to invest Rs 46 crore in establishing three new manufacturing units, which will elevate the annual production capacity to 3.5 lakh tonne.

The upcoming units will be located in Visakhapatnam and Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, and Katni, Madhya Pradesh. These units will initially contribute a combined annual manufacturing capacity of 90,000 tonne, producing textures, cement putty, primers, and emulsions.

At present, Techno Paints employs over 250 skilled professionals and collaborates with nearly 5,000 painters who undertake projects of various scales. The company's products are available in more than 5,000 retail stores. Recently, Techno Paints expanded its color catalogue by adding 1,000 shades to the existing 2,000 shades.
