Gold declines Rs200; silver tumbles Rs800

New Delhi: Gold prices declined by Rs200 to Rs59,550 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday amid weak global cues, according to HDFC Securities. The precious metal had ended at Rs59,750 per 10 grams in the previous trade. Silver also tumbled Rs800 to Rs71,500 per kilogramme. “Gold prices weakened on Thursday, with spot gold in the Delhi markets trading at Rs59,550/10 gram, down by Rs200 per 10 gram, against its previous close,” said Saumil Gandhi, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities. In the overseas market, gold and silver were quoting lower at $1,928 per ounce and $22.53 per ounce, respectively.
