Godrej targets double-digit growth in the current quarter

New Delhi, Oct. 9: Indian conglomerate Godrej group has announced new range of products on consumer appliance to mark the beginning of festive season. The leading appliance manufacturer has also announced promotional offers such as discounts to attract more customers to boost its sales figure.
With market performance expected to improve after a year of lockdowns and 2nd wave of the pandemic, Godrej said that consumers are looking forward to some celebrations finally, albeit with caution.
Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice President –Godrej Appliances, said, "After a difficult year dealing with the pandemic, consumers in India are gearing up to celebratethe festival season. Despite concerns around the third COVID wave, double vaccination should help in driving positive consumer sentiment. Festive season usually contributes 30% of annual sales for us. We are seeing encouraging signs of demand revival and are targeting a double-digit growth rate of 20% plus during this festive season."
The consumer appliance manufacturer recently forayed into the premium category of dishwashers, and for the festive season has announced launched of range of home-based appliances such as refrigerators and washing machine.
According to Godrej, festive promotions will also play an even more significant role this year for the company, given the overall economic downturn in multiple sectors due to Covid. As per the company, it has designed lucrative provisions to attract customers such as cash backs and flexible EMI schemes. Lucrative offers such as extended warranty is also available in specific categories and segments for the consumers.
