GMRVF provides Agri course under Manage
THE CSR arm of GMR Group, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) has been recognised as a Nodal Training Institution (NTI) under the Agri Clinic and Agri Business Centre (AC and ABC) scheme of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India.

Hyderabad: THE CSR arm of GMR Group, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) has been recognised as a Nodal Training Institution (NTI) under the Agri Clinic and Agri Business Centre (AC and ABC) scheme of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India. The scheme is managed by 'National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management' (Manage), Hyderabad. Under this scheme, Agri and allied stream graduates will be trained in entrepreneurship through a course conducted by the NTI.
GMRVF centres at Shamshabad and Rajam, Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, have been selected as Nodal Training Institutes for conducting this course. The first batch of this course is planned to start from January 1, 2022. The course will have an intake of 35 trainees for each batch. Unemployed agricultural post graduates, graduates, and diploma holders can apply for this new course.
A 45-day training at the NTI includes specific technical skills, management skills, and extension strategies for the agri-entrepreneurship. It will focus on horticulture, animal husbandry, dairying, fisheries, beekeeping, mushroom cultivation, sericulture, forestry, and poultry and farming. GMRVF will guide the trainees in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) that will facilitate to get them bank loans and government subsidy.

Taking a significant step, GMRVF has partnered in this new Agri-course, which will provide a learning platform and an opportunity for unemployed youth to learn and sharpen entrepreneurial skills."
