Electronics manufacturers and sellers say that with the approach of Dhana Trayodashi (29th of this month), which comes before Diwali festival, the sales and bookings of electronic home appliances are gaining momentum. Compared to last year's festival season, sales are expected to grow by 30% this year. Since before Dussehra, e-commerce companies Amazon and Flipkart have seen a double-digit growth in sales, but on Dhana Trayodashi, sales are expected to go strong in traditional stores. From Onam festival to after Diwali, this festival season is considered for about 45 days. Now it is said that the auspicious moments of marriage are coming together.
Craze for premium products
Sales of TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners are high during this festive season. There is a high demand for AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies in all home appliances.
- LED TVs are at least 55 inches, larger sizes, washing machines with high efficiency, refrigerators with side-by-side doors, and air conditioners that change the temperature according to the room climate are in demand.

Employment to 2.16 lakh people
Apna.com, a professional networking platform, has revealed that job opportunities during the festive season have increased by 20% to 2.16 lakh compared to the same time last year. The company gave these details on the basis of notifications registered in logistics-operations, e-commerce and hospitality sectors. Nirmit Parikh, CEO of the company explained that there has been a growth of 70% (30,000 people) in logistics, 30% (18,000 people) in e-commerce and 25% (14,000 people) in restaurants-hotels. It is said that these employment opportunities are available in major cities as well as in small towns.
